Banda called by Rastriya Prajatantra Party - Nepal (RPP-N) has shut Hetauda Bazaar since early morning.
The party stated that the banda was called to protest against the police intervention and use of force against its cadres, injuring, among others, party chairman Kamal Thapa and lawmaker Ganesh Thapa while they were peacefully protesting the public opinion collection on the draft of the new constitution in the district on Tuesday. The party has also demanded action against those involved in the attack and treatment of the injured.
Although the transportation were normal in the morning, they have now come to a grinding halt, informed party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha.
All shops except drug stores and eateries and educational institutions have also remained closed.
