Police has arrested two cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' led CPN Maoist from Pokhara on Wednesday for trying to forcefully enforce banda.
District chairman of ANNFSU (Revolutionary) Milan Rai and student Prabal Bhandari were held by the police as the duo stopped and tried to vandalize a motorcycle which was plying along Mahendrapul of the city.
Life in Pokhara has been harshly hit by the nationwide general strike called to protest against the trade between China and India involving Nepal's territory Lipulek. Businesses, transportation, schools have remained completely shut.
Cadres of the CPN Maoist have stationed at the main road junctions with party flags to enforce banda.
