Tremor recorded after four days, epicentre in Dolakh

KATHMANDU: A light tremor hit Dolakha district on Tuesday morning. It was felt in the neighbouring districts also.
It was the first significant aftershock that the National Seismological Centre recorded after four days.
The aftershock was of local magnitude 4.3 and recorded at 8:09 am, according to the NSC. The epicentre was close to Na Gaun, north-east of the district headquarters Charikot.
The last aftershock was recorded at 5:09 on July 17, with its epicentre near Barpak of Gorkha district.
Meanwhile, the number of aftershocks of April 25 (of local magnitude 4.0 or above) has reached 353, according to the NSC.
The official death toll of the earthquake and its aftershocks has been put at 8,898 till date.
