The national football team of Nepal will play a friendly against India on August 31, announced the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
India will host the match at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune. India has viewed the match as a part of their preparation ahead of a FIFA World Cup 2018 and AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifier against Iran in Bengaluru on September 8 and also preparation for the SAFF championship being held in India later this year.
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has informed through its website that it has accepted the invitation from the Indian side.
This is the first match under the new coach of the national team Dhurba Bahadur KC.
Nepal has already begun training for the match, states ANFA in its website.
