Minister Mahat stresses on mobilizing private capital

Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat on Monday said the country's development was impossible without mobilization of private capital.
Mahat said the draft constitution does not promote private sector while underscoring the need to reform the preliminary draft for extensive private capital mobilization.
"There are no alternatives to promoting private capital. The draft does not channelize the private capital, he said. "We need to reform it to attract private capital from inside and outside the country," he said.
He was speaking at an inaugural function of the newly constructed building of Revenue Investigation Western Regional Office and the Inland Revenue Office in Butwal.
He urged the taxpayers to pay tax on time and instructed the civil servants to be service-oriented, and not indulge in confounding the service seekers unnecessarily.
The Finance Minister also said the National Planning Commission had already approved the the government's budget for the fiscal year 2015/16, and directed the concerned employees to be result-oriented while working. RSS
