Only Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives climbed up the rank
Nepal slumped to the bottom among the South Asian countries in the latest Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) ranking, released on Thursday afternoon.
Nepal descended two positions to occupy 195th place. Afghanistan, which climbed 17 spots, leads the regional ranking with 134th position. India, meanwhile, slumped by 15 positions to reach 154 position.
Bhutan is ranked at 166, seven positions below its previous rank while Bangladesh fell three positions down to 169th. Similarly, Pakistan takes 172nd place after descending by two ranks.
Maldives climbed two ranks to hold 176th place. Sri Lanka also improved its ranking by three positions to 183rd position.
Iran tops the rank among the Asian countries.
Argentina is at the top of the list, followed by Germany which the former dethroned.
