HSEB extends scholarship deadline for quake-affected students

Eligible students can now apply until July 16
Student of classes 11 and 12 affected by the April 25 earthquake and related aftershocks can apply for scholarships until July 16.
The Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) on Friday extended the application deadline by a week to make the application easier for the students, Vice chairman of HSEB Chaitanya Sharma said.
On June 24, HSEB had announced scholarship along with hostel facilities for higher secondary level education to the quake-affected students. 
According to HSEB, any affected student who passed the SLC examinations this year and wishes to join Grade 11, or if a student has passed Grade 11 and wants to begin class 12 , he or she will get full scholarship.
Student who lost one or both parents, who lost his/her house or was injured in the earthquake are categorized as quake-affected. Only students from the 14 quake-affected districts are eligible for the scholarship.
