The serene Phewa Lake in Pokhara has been rendered so ‘ugly’ by the flood water carried by Harpan River that the fishes in this beautiful lake have started dying.
The splendidly beautiful blue water of the lake that reflected surrounding mountains, hills and sky before, has turned so brownish that it is hard to imagine that the lake was once hailed as the ‘jewel of Pokhara.’
The face of the lake is further made dirty by the engrossing growth of Jalkumbhi (Pistia Stratiotes). Photo Feature
