At least 2 killed as landslide sweeps passenger bus into Tinau River


At least 2 persons were killed when a passenger bus plunged into Tinau River at Siddhababa along the Butwal-Palpa road section of the Siddhartha Highway today. 
The bus (Lu 1 Kha 5771) with 26 persons on board was en route to Butwal from Palpa when the landslide from a hill swept it down to Tinau River at 1 pm.
According to the Area Police Office, Butwal, around 15 passengers were rescued. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army personnel have been mobilised for rescue operation in the site.
Police is yet to ascertain the identity of the two whose bodies were recovered from the accident site.
