A petrol bomb was targeted at the vehicle in which Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat was travelling to Kharanitar, Nuwakot district to participate in the public deliberation on the draft of the new constitution.
Some unidentified youth threw the bomb at the vehicle in Chedikhola of Ganeshthan VDC of the district, said the office of Nepali Congress, Nuwakot.
The bomb, however, did not affect the vehicle in any way, informed the Nuwakot Police.
Mahat was elected as the Constituent Assembly member from constituency number 2 in the district.
